Our Cashmere cropped sweater is a modern take on the classic design. Fine ribbed cuffs, hems, a delicate boat neck and a slight cropped length. Designed to go with everything in your wardrobe from jeans to wearing over a dress or skirt. Easy to dress up or down - a sure wardrobe staple.

Warmer, softer and more resilient to piling than 100% Cashmere.

We combine the luxury of cashmere with the beauty and functionality of Super-fine Merino wool and Possum down. This perfect combination creates ultra-soft, ultra-light garments that are resistant to piling and knitwear that wears well. The down fibres from possum fur are extremely light, fine and insulating, providing warmth without weight.

Small air spaces between the fibres allows garments to be warm without weight, while thin cuticle cells on the fibre surface make it smooth and shiny.

Firstly - does it need washing?

We use natural fibres which naturally are anti-odour (thanks to their antibacterial properties) and are breathable. Therefore we find that our garments only need to be washed every so often. Letting you garment breath in the open air is all that it may need.

However, if it does need a freshen up here are two options:

Machine wash in warm water (turn garment inside out and even better, in a garment bag), with wool/delicate detergent, on a wool cycle, lay flat to dry. We also advise you wash similar garments together (i.e. delicates together, not with towels!)

Hand wash in warm water, with wool/delicate detergent, squeezing gently, not soaking for over 5 minutes, roll into a towel and squeeze excess moisture out or put in a spin cycle in the washing machine, lay flat to dry.

Fold your garments once washed, we don't advise you hang your garments, especially when wet, this may cause your garment to stretch.

Our garments are pre-shrunk making them less susceptible to shrinking in the wash, however that being said generally avoid prolonged heat exposure either through hot water or tumble drying.

Nothing better

Kapeka garments are comfortable, warm, and don’t smell, thanks to the unique combination of fibres. As far as I’m concerned, they are quite bullet proof and can be worn next to my skin all year round

Warm and lightweight

If I were to buy a piece of clothing, I’d go for something of 100% natural fibres. Kapeka products are warm and lightweight, so the serve my purposes better than all the rest.

I have been wearing Kapeka garments in almost all occasions of my life throughout my stay in New Zealand, simply because they are not something that requires constant cleaning, and they don’t smell like those with other materials.
